EMF Detector Workshop @ Nottingham Hackspace

I recently ran a workshop building the EMF Detector kit at my local hackspace in Nottingham. This kit responds to electric and magnetic fields to produce weird sound-scapes of a hidden world of electro-magnetic noise.   We tested it on phones, power supplies and electrical fittings. Always good to run through kits and instructions as people build them - a few improvements highlighted, as always!

Derby Mini Maker Faire

The Curious Electric Company had a stall at our most local Mini Maker Faire in Derby. It was a great, if very busy, day. So busy in fact that I only had the time to take one photograph and did not manage to visit any of the other stalls during the day. I ad the new design for the Bat Listener and the EMF detector for sale and they seemed popular. Over 2000 people attended the event, which is amazing.
